Classic Fly-in Fishing & Exploration Experience
The Okavango Panhandle is a relatively unknown travel destination outside the fishing fraternity, but today it offers something unique in Botswana safaris. The Best of the Panhandle Safari Package provides a Botswana safari holiday unlike any other.
Staying on an island situated where the Okavango is still a river, allows for a range of activities including some of the best birding in Botswana and great fishing experiences that the area is renowned for. Boat cruises offer an intimate view of this part of the Delta.
Guided walks on neighbouring islands opens up a fascinating world as does a visit to the legendary Tsodilo Hills, less than an hour’s drive away. The spiritual home of the original inhabitants of Botswana, the Hills provide an insight into the past through the many Bushmen paintings.
